La Fustera is Benissa’s main beach and the only one with fine sand: about 200 metres of it between rocky outcrops, with the water getting deeper gradually. It is the easiest of the six and the best one for children.
It is also the best equipped: a restaurant with a terrace, a children’s play area, picnic spots, and kayak and paddle board hire. It has adapted access for people with reduced mobility, something none of Benissa’s other coves offers.
Under the water there are meadows of posidonia, the seagrass that keeps the water along this coast clean and clear.
If you go
The car park is big, but in July and August it fills up early. If you can choose, go first thing in the morning or after five in the afternoon.
